The super swimmers

Open day with SuperSvømmerne - Sunday 11 October at 1600-1800

Triton Lillestrøm and SuperSvømmerne invite to an open day in Skjetten Swimming Hall. All young people and young adults with physical and mental disabilities are welcome to a fun and active day in the swimming pool. Here we show what the SuperSwimmers do in the pool. In addition, Rona Hjelmstad, former silver winner at the Special Olympics in Los Angeles, will be in the swimming pool to tell about the experiences she has had through swimming. Participants are divided according to level and disability. All participants who want to participate in an open day meet in front of Skjetten Swimming Hall at 1600. When the participants are registered (in relation to infection tracking) it is changed in the locker room. In the swimming pool, Coach Anders Gravdal will have a great program with learning, swimming and fun activities and challenges. It is planned that all levels can participate, so here it is just to show up. After some time in the pool, it is time for a break. During the break, Rona Hjelmstad will tell a little about her experiences on the way to the Special Olympics in Los Angeles in 2015. Finally, there will be the opportunity for her own activity and challenges in the pool, before changing in the locker rooms. We're done at 1800. If there are any questions in connection with the open day, you are welcome to contact the person in charge; Jesper Madsen, jesper@tritonlillestrom.no Registration is possible on the above email, but is not necessary. We will register all participants in connection with. infection tracing. Welcome to you all!
The Super Swimmers is a party where they are between the ages of 13 and 22 with Down Syndrome. They love to hang together, practice swimming and have fun in the water!

We have already learned basic swimming and we swim deep as well. The swimmers learn and improve basic technique in the swims crawl, breast, back and a little butterfly.

The super swimmers are offered to participate in social gatherings and competitions such as Vivillekene and National Conference in swimming for the mentally handicapped. We compete in class S14.

Some of us also swim with the other parties, i.a. Triathlon

As of today, we need more swim-able Super Swimmers!
