Competition groups

Competition groups in Triton Lillestrøm swimming and triathlon club

The competition parties are divided so that the K1 party is the party where you train the most, and here are often the best swimmers in the club. They put in countless training hours each month and several participate in both national and international championships. One can say that the K1 party is the top of the pyramid and then the parties follow down with the K2, K3, K4 and Rekrutt party where the number of training hours is a little less for each party down. This is because the Rekrutt party is the first competition party in the club and this is where you start after completing a swimming course. It is often the case, but not always, that the lower the party, the younger the swimmers. But you can also find quite young swimmers on both the K2 and K1 parties, who have trained well and have had good progress. Swimming is a sport that requires an incredible amount of training over many years to become good, and often it is very young swimmers who assert themselves in the world elite. There are several 15-16 year olds, especially on the girls' side who take medals in international championships. But mostly the best in the world are between 20-28 years. Swimmers who participate in competition parties are expected to participate in competitions / competitions and will therefore automatically be entered in competitions and competitions, so that swimmers can see the result of the time they spend on training. If the swimmers do not want to participate in the competition, parents are asked to send an email to their coach or Jesper (jesper@tritonlillestrom.no), so that the swimmer can be ironed before the deadline. If a swimmer generally does not want to participate in competitions, it is possible to swim at one of the club's training parties (see link below for more info).
