Toddler swimming 2-4 years

Duppe is the basic level for toddler swimming and is for children aged 2 to 4 years and should primarily be an activity that takes place on the children's premises. The goal is for the children to be safe in the water. All activity that takes place must, as far as possible, be based on play, social interaction, joy and well-being. This is an activity that parents / guardians do together with the child, and they should act as a link between the instructor and the child. With this as a starting point, an environment is created for learning and mastering different skills. With these play activities, it contributes to safety in the water for children and parents / guardians and the experience of mastering the child on their own. Based on the play activities, the children learn to utilize the water's properties - diving, floating, gliding, propulsion - and eventually master skills that are important from a self-rescue perspective. Skill goal at Duppe: Drag along the pool edge Float on your back, with minimal support, parent / instructor counts to 5 (5 sec.) Dive your whole head under water and pick up an object with your hands. Swim a body length with leg kicks Jump out - get to the surface - lie on your back to get air and - get back to the starting point, with minimal support. Duppe 2-4 years builds on baby swimming which is for children up to 2 years, but it is not a prerequisite that you have previously participated in baby swimming or have been particularly diligent in visiting swimming pools on your own.
