Toddler Swimming Duppe for 2-4 years old
Duppe is the basic level for toddler swimming and is for children aged 2 to 4 years and should primarily be an activity that takes place on the children's premises.
The goal is for the children to be safe in the water. All activity that takes place must, as far as possible, be based on play, social interaction, joy and well-being.
This is an activity that parents / guardians do together with the child, and they should act as a link between the instructor and the child. With this as a starting point, an environment is created for learning and mastering different skills. With these play activities, it contributes to safety in the water for children and parents / guardians and the experience of mastering the child on their own.
Based on the play activities, the children learn to utilize the water's properties - diving, floating, gliding, propulsion - and eventually master skills that are important from a self-rescue perspective.
Interim skill goals of Duppe
- Drag along the pool edge
- Float on your back, with minimal support, parent / instructor counts to 5 (5 sec.)
- Dive your whole head under water and pick up an object with your hands.
- Swim a body length with leg kicks Jump out - get to the surface - lie on your back to get air and - get back to the starting point, with minimal support.
Duppe 2-4 years builds on baby swimming which is for children up to 2 years, but it is not a prerequisite that you have previously participated in baby swimming or have been particularly diligent in visiting swimming pools on your own.
Important information
The course each time lasts in 30 minutes
A parent or guardian must be with the child down in the water, and use a bathing cap. 👪💦 After acceptence by te instructor a second guardian or parent can be at land or in the water. The instructor may tell the second adult to leave the water at any time. The guardian or parent must not know how to swim, but can with ease stay in water standing without ant difficulties.
All listed Toddler swimming or at our other swimming courses keep their place rfom season to season. Our courses are adapted to receive new participants at any time, also at the end of every season. The payment of the course is due every month and we send invoices. By resignation we have 1 month of resignation time.
