Triathlon for Children and Youth


Triathlon for Children and Youth is a new offer in Triton Lillestrøm Swimming and Triathlon Club. 

After many years with triathlon for adults, we now offer it for children and young people as well. In this group we concentrate on versatility through these forms of exercise: swimming, cycling and running, as well as other activities that aim to develop the participants' coordination, endurance, strength, balance etc. The training is playful (play-focused exercises and activities), so that it is  fun to participate in this group. 

The training is held on Sundays in Volla Swimming Hall and consists each week of swimming (approx. 45 min), as well as either running or cycling (approx. 30 min). 

There will be exercises where the individual participant will challenge themselves, at the same time there will be exercises where the group as a whole works out together. The overall goal is to develop the individual's skills - both in water and on land. At the same time the participants should focus on mastering the exercises they are challenged with. Through this mastery, the participants are motivated to participate in local competitions in the three different sports, as well as local triathlon competitions. The focus of all competitions / events is the participation and experience.

As of autumn 2020: Unfortunately, there were very few participants, and we have therefore chosen to temporarily close the triathlon group for children and young people. We refer to Allidrett, which is also a lot of versatile training. If there are many children / young people who want the triathlon group, it will be created again in the future.
