K2-parti


The K2 party is Triton Lillestrøm swimming and triathlon club's second best party in the "competition series". Swimmers on K2 have chosen to invest 100% in swimming, and have a set goal of becoming a swimmer at national or international level. For the swimmers at K2, the swimming pool is the place where a lot of time is spent, and taking care of their training is a priority right after school, but usually just over birthdays, etc. As a swimmer at K2, the athlete is offered participation in various training camps (home and abroad). lifeguard course, pure practitioner course and various lectures.

Training times at K2

K2 content 

  • 9 training sessions per week (requirement for 6 trainings per week) 
  • Conventions as scheduled on a term list (10-14 conventions annually) 
  • Camps as scheduled on a schedule (2-4 camps annually) 
  • LÅMØ / ÅM focus 
  • Warm-up / land training / stretching in connection with each session at IMS 
  • Secondary focus on own swimming type (beginning specialization) 
  • Focus on kick and leg
  • Individual technique focus
  • Intensity heart rate
  • Start times. The clock should be used during training 
  • Awareness about frequency and stroke-length
  • Start with different tests
  • Goal focus

Learning goals in K2 party

  • Continuation from other parties
  • Swim all exercises technically correct and with different tactics
  • Swim longer series with a focus on technique
  • Learning about intensity zones and heart rate
  • Use the clock to take time for your own swimming (always be aware of your own pace) 
  • Learning about frequency and stroke - length in relation to pace and distance
  • Learn to set SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Attractive, Realistic, Time-limiting, Evaluative)
